Low-Voltage Measurement
(0–24 mV)
The Millivoltmeter is a device designed for the measurement of very small DC voltage, converting the data into a format compatible with an Vutlan monitoring system. It allows for real-time remote monitoring of DC voltage levels in various applications, such as data centers, industrial automation, and renewable energy systems.
VT424 is an analog sensor plug-and-play sensor and can be connected to any analog port of Vutlan monitoring system.
The maximum amount of VT424 sensors connected to a Vutlan monitoring system and the maximum cable length can be extended using the "VT408 / Sensor extension unit".
Order Options / Models
VT424:
Measured range 0-24mV
Custom order:
Measured range 0-100mV
Use cases
- Current shunts: Measure the voltage drop across precision shunt resistors to calculate current (common in battery systems, DC power, and industrial equipment).
- Strain gauges: Read the small millivolt outputs from load cells, force sensors, and weighing systems.
- Pressure transmitters (mV output): Some pressure sensors provide a direct millivolt output.
- Calibration and testing: Verifying low-voltage outputs of sensors and instrumentation.
- Bridge sensors: Wheatstone bridge-based sensors for force, torque, displacement, or pressure.
- Thermocouples: Many thermocouple types generate only a few millivolts depending on temperature (requires proper cold-junction compensation for accurate temperature measurement).
- Research and laboratory measurements: Measuring very small DC voltages in electronic circuits and experiments.
Add more analog sensors
using VT408 extension unit.
Each VT408 extension unit connected to the Vutlan monitoring device via the CAN bus adds the ability to connect 8 analog sensors to the system.
Sensors connected to the unit are automatically displayed in the system.
