VT580 Dust particles sensor

Description

The VT580 Dust particle sensor is designed to monitor air quality and pollution levels. Its measurement principle is based on laser scattering. The sensor provides accurate measurements from the moment it is first turned on and throughout its service life, which is more than ten years..

This plug-and-play sensor easily connects to any analog port of Vutlan monitoring devices.

The maximum amount of sensors can be extended using the VT408 / Sensor extension unit.

Features:

  • Unique long-term stability

  • Advanced particle size binning

  • Superior precision in mass concentration and number concentration sensing

Use cases

The VT580 Dust Particle Sensor has a variety of use cases due to its ability to measure air quality and particulate matter with high precision. Here are some practical applications:

  • Data Centers and IT Facilities: The VT580 sensor can monitor air quality and pollution levels to protect sensitive electronics from dust and airborne particles, helping to prevent equipment failure and prolong operational lifespan.
  • Industrial Environments: In manufacturing or production areas where air quality is critical for processes or worker safety, the sensor can be used to monitor and regulate particulate matter in the environment.
  • Clean Rooms and Laboratories: For environments that require strict air quality control, such as pharmaceutical manufacturing or scientific research, the VT580 can ensure compliance with air quality standards by detecting particulate matter that could contaminate sensitive processes.
  • Building Management Systems (BMS): VT580 can be integrated into building management systems to monitor air quality in office spaces, commercial buildings, or smart homes, helping to maintain a healthy indoor environment.
  • Environmental Monitoring: Used in environmental protection agencies or smart city initiatives to measure and report pollution levels, the sensor can aid in air quality monitoring and public health initiatives.
  • HVAC Systems: The sensor can be connected to HVAC systems to monitor and adjust airflow in response to particulate levels, improving air quality in indoor environments.
  • Healthcare Facilities: Ensures that clean air standards are met in hospitals or clinics, where airborne contaminants can be a risk to patients.

Sensor features

Logic schemes

Logical schemes are used to set automatic actions in response to events occurring in the system.

Dashboard view

The monitoring interface can be customized for each user.
There are widgets with multifunctional graphs and gauges.

Thresholds

Each sensor has 5 alarm thresholds for logical control and notifications.

Graphs and Logging

Vutlan supports recording to SD card and USB stick.
Data from the entire system loaded with sensors is stored for up to 3 years.

Add more analog sensors using VT408 extension unit.

Each VT408 extension unit connected to the Vutlan monitoring device via the CAN bus adds the ability to connect 8 analog sensors to the system.

Sensors connected to the unit are automatically displayed in the system.

Systems with analog ports:

To read data from the analog sensors, you need Vutlan monitoring and control system. All the following monitoring & control systems have a different amount of analog ports.
